“A Christ Centered Ministry for God’s Hurting People”
A caring, Christian lay person who listens, cares, prays, supports, and encourages hurting people.
” For I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me. I was in prison and you came to Me.” (Matthew 25:35-38) NKJV
Objective: To care for those who have no access to the abundant resources our society possesses, respect the dignity and value of every individual and charitable organization, offering assistance with humility and compassion.
Mission Statement: The Human Needs Ministry is dedicated to continuing the work of Christ, addressing the basic needs of families in temporary financial crisis by providing a plan of action which will lead to the implementation of Christ’s mandate to the church: feed the hungry, clothe the naked, shelter the homeless, care for the sick and visit the imprisoned (Mathew 25: 35 – 38). Activities include regularly scheduled food and clothing drives, financially supported and regular reviews of Zion’s, “Adopted Family,” program and other local charitable organizations Zion maintains in the Washington DC area.
